Blog of the Year Awards

I owe a heartfelt “Thank You” to Alistair  for nominating Views From My World for Blog of the Year 2012.

Blog of the Year Award 1 star jpeg

Alistair  is a prolific blogger who inspires me on a daily basis, with a variety of topics and beautiful photographs. Thank you, Alistair!

This is a special award, as each time you receive the award, you gain another star up to six in total.

Here are the rules for accepting this award:

1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award

2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ them with their award.

3 Please include a link back to the page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award – and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)

4 Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them

5 You can now also join their Facebook page – click the link here ‘Blog of the Year 2012 Facebook group’   and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience

6 As a winner of the award – please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award – and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar … and start collecting stars…

There are so many blogs I admire, I would like to nominate them all, but since that is not practical, I mean no disrespect to the dear blogger friends of mine who may be omitted from the following list:

Expansion

I am on my way to Atlanta, Georgia as a replacement delegate 🙂

Bear with me as I leave my comfort zone! I’ll be sure to share pictures…I grew up in Atlanta, and after the summit I’m going to spend a little time nosing around my old ‘haunts’ – just a little time, as I do not have fond memories of the place or the time I spent there.

In the meantime, until I post again (soon, I hope), be sure to spend a little time nosing around the blogs I have nominated for awards 🙂

Thank You

Thank you, Sugarlump, for nominating me for the Very Inspiring Blogger Award. Your blog inspires me, as well, and I take comfort in knowing  there is another soul out there who not only does not enjoy tap dancing, but who also does not like odd numbers.

1. Link back to the person who nominated you: Thank you, Sugarlump!

2. Post the award image to your page:

3. Tell 7 facts about yourself:

4. Nominate 15 other bloggers and let them know they’ve been nominated:

Thank You

What a lovely surprise! Thank you, TIMZAUTO, for nominating me for the One Lovely Blog award. I am so happy to have met you…artistic, intelligent, thoughtful, inspiring…it is an honor to be nominated by you for my first award. 🙂

 Seven things about myself:

1. I am a night owl.

2. People think I live on coffee and chocolate, but I really don’t.

3. My favorite quote most days is “I do not like to write – I like to have written” (Gloria Steinem).

4. Other days I force myself to write by thinking of this:  “If there is no dull and determined effort, there will be no brilliant achievement” (Hsun-tzu).

5. I have learned that “The first step in blogging is not writing them but reading them” (Jeff Jarvis).

6. I really like quotes.

7. I believe “The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.” ( Michelangelo Buonarroti).
