Pause to Ponder
Nostalgic
I hadn’t realized how long it’s been since I’ve taken a walk outside the boundaries of my own property…then, outside last night I heard her braying.
Last summer, I took regular evening walks, usually to clear my mind from my studies. This year, I found I have become housebound, and now I have resolved to begin walking up the road again – if not for exercise, then at least to see this dear creature.

Fleeting
For the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Fleeting
Nothing that is can pause or stay;
The moon will wax, the moon will wane,
The mist and cloud will turn to rain,
The rain to mist and cloud again,
Tomorrow be today.
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Real Friends
Animals are such agreeable friends – they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms.
~George Eliot
A friend is one of the nicest things you can have, and one of the best things you can be.

From the Heart
When we look up, it widens our horizons. We see what a little speck we are in the
universe, so insignificant, and we all take ourselves so seriously, but in the
sky, there are no boundaries. No differences of caste or religion or race.

Thank You
What a lovely surprise! Thank you, TIMZAUTO, for nominating me for the One Lovely Blog award. I am so happy to have met you…artistic, intelligent, thoughtful, inspiring…it is an honor to be nominated by you for my first award. 🙂
Seven things about myself:
1. I am a night owl.
2. People think I live on coffee and chocolate, but I really don’t.
3. My favorite quote most days is “I do not like to write – I like to have written” (Gloria Steinem).
4. Other days I force myself to write by thinking of this: “If there is no dull and determined effort, there will be no brilliant achievement” (Hsun-tzu).
5. I have learned that “The first step in blogging is not writing them but reading them” (Jeff Jarvis).
6. I really like quotes.
7. I believe “The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.” ( Michelangelo Buonarroti).
