For the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge : Masterpiece

The images I share on this blog are generally unedited snapshots of my life. This image was born of a set of photos I took of fledgling birds at Blazers Ice Centre in Oklahoma City.

The original image was blurry & a horrible, dull and dim greenish-brownish color, but I thought it might be interesting to play around and see what I could turn it into.

Although it’s not a masterpiece by any ordinary standard, I am quite pleased with it… it is my own masterpiece 🙂

What you need to know about the past is that no matter what has happened, it has all worked together to bring you to this very moment. And this is the moment you can choose to make everything new. Right now. ~Author Unknown

I hadn’t realized how long it’s been since I’ve taken a walk outside the boundaries of my own property…then, outside last night I heard her braying.

Last summer, I took regular evening walks, usually to clear my mind from my studies. This year, I found I have become housebound, and now I have resolved to begin walking up the road again – if not for exercise, then at least to see this dear creature.

Optimists are nostalgic about the future.  ~Chicago Tribune

I wasn't surprised to see this sign blocking my way to town after heavy rain

I suppose I wasn’t surprised, either, that drivers chose to ignore the sign – we all know better than government safety officials, right?

I'm certain I wouldn't have noticed the candy store in the mall if it weren't for this sign

I’m certain I wouldn’t have noticed the candy store in the mall if it weren’t for this sign. I think the faces express common sentiments about candy 🙂

Of course in the light of the recent weather where I live, this is an important sign to look for - really, it should always be important :)
